A round up of all the action for the Darley stallions over the past week
Robert Bruce continues to reign supreme

Fast Company’s time in the southern hemisphere has certainly proved worthwhile, as his son Robert Bruce has completely dominated the Chilean racing scene since stepping onto the track for the first time in May. On Friday, 27 October he extended his unbeaten run to six and notched an impressive fourth G1 win, landing the Clasico El Ensayo.

Crowned Champion juvenile last season, the three-year-old colt has won his four G1 contests by a combined 22 lengths, including an astounding eight-length victory in the Clasico Nacional Ricardo Lyon in early October.

It is interesting to note that Robert Bruce is from the same family as another of Fast Company’s talented southern-hemisphere performers in Mister Fluff, placed at G1 level this year and winner of a Listed contest last time out.

Consistent Time To Choose adds another Stakes win

Four-year-old Manduro colt Time To Choose has been a wonderfully consistent campaigner for his sire, only twice finishing out of the first three (each time taking fourth) and Stefano Botti’s charge added a fourth Stakes win to his record with victory in the G3 Premio Ribot.

Time To Choose once again found his best form at Rome’s Capannelle racecourse, battling superbly to prevail by a short head in the one-mile contest. Earlier this year he took the G2 Premio Presidente della Repubblica at the same track.

Time To Choose is one of ten Black Type performers for Manduro this year, headed by multiple G1 winner Vazirabad and new Darley stallion, Ultra.

Purple patch continues for Poet’s Voice juveniles

Britain’s leading sire of two-year-olds, Poet’s Voice, continues to add to his winning tally for 2017, with Sand Zabeel becoming the 29th successful juvenile runner for her sire on Sunday, 29 October.

The Andreas Wohler-trained filly was making her second start and clearly benefited from the experience as she made all to win the one-mile maiden at Hannover by three and a half lengths, with more than four lengths further back to the third-placed horse.

Profitable enjoys his new surroundings

Crack sprinter Profitable arrived at Kildangan Stud less than two weeks ago, but has settled in beautifully to his new surroundings. He’s already proving very popular with breeders and looks set to have a busy start to his new career come next February.
