Group success for Dubawi and Night Of Thunder at Saint-Cloud

Dubawi’s son lands the G2 Prix du Muguet and Night Of Thunder's daughter takes the G3 Prix Allez France

The remarkedly consistent No Lunch (Dubawi) was hungry for a first Group win this afternoon and maintained his perfect record this year with victory in the G2 Prix du Muguet, held at Saint-Cloud over eight furlongs. He has taken the throne from new Darley stallion Tribalist (Farhh), who dominated this race in 2023, 2024 and 2025. No Lunch is trained by Christophe Ferland and has now won his last six starts, with three at Listed level.

The five-year-old is out of the Stakes winner Lunch Lady (Shamardal) and is owned by his breeders, Wertheimer & Frere who won earlier on the card with their debutant two-year-old filly Kosuma, by Dubawi’s best sire son Night Of Thunder. The mare also has a Dubawi filly two-year-old, called Higheel, who can hopefully follow in her older brother’s steps.

In the following race, Night Of Thunder's four-year-old daughter Sunly landed her third Stakes race in only five starts in the G3 Prix Allez France over 10-furlongs. This is the lightly raced filly's second Group success after she took the G3 Prix de Royaumont last year. Sunly is out of the mare Suffused (Champs Elysees), bred and owned by Juddmonte Farms and holds a G1 entry in the Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh in June.

The ever-influential Dubawi is the sire of 64 individual G1 winners among 317 Stakes winners worldwide while Night Of Thunder was crowned Champion British and Irish sire last year. Dubawi stands at Dalham Hall Stud with Night Of Thunder at Kildangan Stud in Ireland.
