Impressive first Black Type win for daughter of Night Of Thunder

Moody lands the Listed Noblesse Stakes at Cork

Moody, a four-year-old daughter of Night Of Thunder landed her first Stakes race on Saturday, 4 April when impressing in the Listed Noblesse Stakes. Run over a mile and a half at Cork, she handled the soft underfoot conditions well to record a half-a-length victory.

Unraced as a juvenile, she ran twice last year including a victory at Clairefontaine in July. Current connections bought her out of Andre Fabre’s yard for €125,000.

Bred by Godolphin, Moody is out of the Street Cry mare Agathonia, winner of a German Listed race as a four-year-old.

Night Of Thunder was crowned Champion sire in GB and Ireland for the first time in 2025. In total, he sired 32 Black Type winners last season including his first British Classic winner in Desert Flower and the Dewhurst hero Gewan. 2026 has started in similar vein and already includes Ombudsman winning his third G1 in the Dubai Turf last weekend at Meydan.
