Ballinea Star, a juvenile daughter of Space Blues, struck in Group company on Saturday, 27 June when winning the G3 Anglesey Stakes. Run at the Curragh, she was always close to place and asserted near the line to record a half-length victory.
The €26,000 yearling has now won half of her four starts including a Cork Maiden earlier in June.
Bred by Old Carhue Stud, Ballinea Star is a daughter of the Group-placed juvenile Jeanne Girl, who hails from the extended family of Rajeem and Invincible Army.
From two crops of racing age, Space Blues has sired 11 Stakes performers including G1-winning juvenile Power Blue, and Group performers Drago Blues, Vasy, Do Or Do Not and Bourbon Blues.
