Space Blues sired his second Black Type-winning juvenile in less than two weeks on Tuesday, 7 July when his daughter Give You My Love ran out the convincing winner of the Listed Premio Gino E Luciano Mantovani, run over seven furlongs at Milan.
The Caruso Vincenzo-trained filly was settled in fourth on the outside, coming widest of all around the home turn. Shaken up two furlongs out, she kept on superbly to win by two and a quarter lengths.
Give You My Love broke her maiden at the same course on 20 May and followed up with a close second in a six-furlong Listed contest (also at Milan) on 7 June.
She was bred by Tally Ho Stud and is out of the winning Kodiac mare Lufricia, herself a half-sister to G1 Prix Maurice de Gheest winner Signs Of Blessing - a race of course also won by Space Blues himself.
Space Blues is also sire this year of G3 Anglesey Stakes winner Ballinea Star, plus three-year-old Stakes winner Vasy and a further six Black Type performers. His first-crop star, G1 Phoenix Stakes hero Power Blue, was second in the Leopardstown Guineas Trial earlier this year and finished fourth in the G1 St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.
