Rockribbed secured his second Black Type victory when he burst along the rail in the home straight to win the Listed Recognition Stakes over 1,350m at Doomben on Saturday, 29 November.
Second-up from a spell for Eagle Farm trainer Tony Gollan and jockey Ryan Maloney, Rockribbed added the Recognition Stakes to his Listed ATC Trophy 1,200m win on the Gold Coast in May, taking his record to 10 wins and eight placings from 30 starts for prize money of $584,600.
The eight-year-old son of Night Of Thunder and Australian mare Seattle Lass held off Boomtown Boss by a nose, with Oughton one and a half lengths away in third, stopping the clock at 1 minute 18.63 seconds.
