Space Blues has made an exciting start to his stud career, becoming the fastest Dubawi-line stallion to sire a G1 winner following Power Blue’s superb victory in the Phoenix Stakes – a win that earned him the highest Timeform rating of any horse by a freshman sire this year.
But he far from a one-trick stallion – he leads all Irish stallions standing at under €40,000 by European Group performers to runners with a very healthy 7.8%.
Space Blues is also sire of the Stakes-winning Group-placed colt Drago Blues, plus Do Or Do Not – placed at G2 level on no fewer than four occasions including in the Coventry at Royal Ascot. And just last week, his winning son Bourbon Blues found only Godolphin’s Al Zanati (Dubawi) too good in the G3 Prix Thomas Bryon.
While not yet a Group performer, Stellar Sunrise has earned €100,000 to date with convincing wins at Goodwood and York.
A G1-winning juvenile, 7.8% Group horses to runners – just like Starman. But at a fraction of Starman’s fee – Space Blues stands at just €15,000.
