Farhh colt equals record at Tattersalls

Son of first-season sire Farhh tops the opening session of the Tattersalls December Foal sale at 160,000gns

Farhh made an outstanding start to his stallion career this year with three Stakes performers in his first crop, and his progeny continue to make headlines with a colt foal by the young sire selling for 160,000gns at Tattersalls on Wednesday 29 November.

That price equaled the record for a foal sold during the opening session of the December Foal Sale at Park Paddocks. The winning bid was made by Yeomanstown Stud.

Some of the first northern hemisphere foals by Champion sprinter Brazen Beau went through the ring during Tattersalls' opening session, headed by a colt offered by The Castlebridge Consignment which was snapped up by Australian agent Andrew Williams for 42,000gns, The colt is out of the Teofilo mare Rose Kazan, from the further family of the great Triptych. In all, Brazen Beau's first four foals sold averaged nearly three times their sire's stud fee, with a further 20 lots catalogued during the remainder of the week.
