Breakthrough G1 triumph for Fairy Glen

Daughter of Farhh lands Prix de Royallieu

Farhh’s progressive five-year-old daughter Fairy Glen landed her biggest triumph on Saturday, 3 October when winning the G1 Prix de Royallieu. Run over 2800m at ParisLongchamp, she came from the rear of the field to get the better of Sunly (Night Of Thunder) near the line.

The winner of six of her 14 career starts, Fairy Glen had previously won the G2 Dubai Gold Cup and G2 Balanchine Stakes earlier this year at Meydan.

Bred by Godolphin, Fairy Glen is the first foal of the winning Dubawi mare Natural Scenery, a daughter of the Classic-placed Argentina.

The sire of 13 Group winners at an impressive 7.1% to runners, Farhh has sired three G1-winning milers in Darley stallion Tribalist, King Of Change and Fonteyn. Fairy Glen was his second G1 winner of the year after Tiffany’s victory in the Grosser Preis von Berlin.
