The winners keep flowing for Night Of Thunder

Wonderwork impresses on his debut at Thirsk

Making his career debut, Night Of Thunder’s juvenile son Wonderwork impressed on Saturday, 3 August when easily winning at Thirsk. Soon out front in the five furlong contest, he never saw another rival, eventually running out the very easy three and a half length winner.

Bred by Drumlin Bloodstock and a €52,000 yearling at Tattersalls Ireland Yearling sale, Wonderwork is the first foal of the winning Royal Applause mare First Party, who is herself a half-sister to Stakes winner Party Boss. First Party also has a yearling filly by Exceed And Excel.

Night Of Thunder has made a tremendous start to his stud career with Wonderwork becoming winner number 14. Just last weekend his daughter Under The Stars landed the G3 Princess Margaret Stakes as well as Sun Power running a very close second in the Listed Pat Eddery Stakes. He has also sired the unbeaten quartet of Thunderous, Thunderspeed, Man Of The Night and Dalanijujo, as well as multiple scorers Keep Busy and Path Of Thunder
