The winners keep coming for Night Of Thunder

Lady Penelope gets off the mark at Down Royal

Night Of Thunder recorded his 16th individual first-crop winner on Saturday, 31 August when his daughter Lady Penelope readily took a maiden contest over five furlongs at Down Royal. Placed on her two previous starts, the two-year-old filly made all, taking command in the final furlong to win cosily by three and three quarter lengths.

Bred by Kiltown Bloodstock, Lady Penelope is the second foal out of the Nayef mare Step Sequence, a daughter of the Listed winning and G3 placed Crossover. She is a half-sister to the G2 winners Snaadee and Russian Bond from the family of multiple G1 winning Charm Spirit.

The classic winning miler Night Of Thunder has made an exceptional start at stud producing four Black Type horses already this season including the G3 Princess Margaret winner Under The Stars and Listed Denford Stakes victor Thunderous.
