The winners keep coming for Night Of Thunder

Under The Stars wins by three lengths on debut to become the 11th successful runner for her first-season sire

Night Of Thunder is quickly throwing himself into contention to become this year’s leading first-season sire and on Monday, 8 July, he sired his 11th individual winner when Under The Stars impressed on debut to land the six-furlong novice at Ripon by three lengths.

Slightly slowly away under P J McDonald, Under The Stars was pushed along soon after the break but once finding her stride, soon took up the lead and was eventually eased clear approaching the line.

Trained by James Tate, Under The Stars is the second winner out of Jumeirah Palm Star (Invincible Spirit), a granddaughter of G2 winner Shir Dar.

Night Of Thunder has the best winners to runners ratio of any first-season sire in the UK and Ireland and has sired no fewer than nine new winners since 25 June.
