Space Bear, a first-crop daughter of Space Blues, ran out the impressive debutant winner of the seven furlong Novice at Wolverhampton on Tuesday, 22 July. Making her debut for trainer Marco Botti, she was never far off the pace before quickening to win by two lengths.
Bred by Ballygreany Stud and Elec Bloodstock and well bought by connections for £14,000 as a breezer, Space Bear is a daughter of the New Approach mare Embraceable You, who is herself a daughter of Coronation Stakes heroine Fallen For You.
Three-time top-flight winner Space Blues’ first crop are juveniles of 2025, and already includes three Stakes performers in Do Or Do Not, twice a G2 second including in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot, Power Blue, third in the G2 Railway Stakes, and Polly Shelby, second in a French Listed race last week. It was also his second new winner in two days after Come On Eibhlin triumphed at Windsor yesterday.
