Night Of Thunder’s daughter Bredenbury rolls to victory in New York

Becomes the 12th first-crop Stakes winner for her sire in the Listed Lady Shipman Stakes

Dubawi's son Night Of Thunder continues to excel with his first two crops as improving daughter Bredenbury delivered a near record-breaking performance in the Lady Shipman Stakes (named after the talented daughter of Darley America stallion Midshipman) on June 21st at Belmont Race Track in New York. While winning her first career Black Type event in a quick 1:07.21 seconds, she finished just three-fifths of a second off of the track record for six furlongs.

Ridden for the first time by jockey Luis Saez, the Graham Motion-trained sophomore filly settled in nicely for the first five eighths of a mile and inched past the leader as the field reached the final turn. Bredenbury then drew clear of the pack and finished strongly for the victory.

Bredenbury becomes the second Black Type out of Areyaam (daughter of deceased Darley stallion Elusive Quality), also dam of the Listed winner Go Angellica. Bredenbury's second dam, Yanaseeni, is a full sister to multiple G1 winner Germany.

Night Of Thunder landed the Champion first-season sire title last year and has sired three Group winners worldwide already in 2020 including Molatham who annexed the G3 Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot this past week.
