Vronti took control at the sixteenth pole and drew off on her way to posting a one-length victory over The Mizen Queen in the listed CTT and TOC Stakes at Del Mar on Saturday, 15 August.
Run at a one mile and three-eighths over the turf course, the four-year-old daughter of Night Of Thunder proved much the best when earning her first career Stakes victory.
Vronti broke alertly and was settled towards the rear of the 10 horse field through the early stages of the race, as Pulp Fiction led the way while setting a moderate pace. Vronti, who was saving ground along the inside rail, began to make up ground on the leaders heading into the far turn. She continued her rally, splitting rivals inside the eighth pole and shooting to the front in deep stretch. Vronti cruised to the finish line an easy winner over The Mizen Queen, who was a head better than Kentucky Gal.
Vronti was bred in England by St. Albans Bloodstock and is out of the Graded/Group Stakes winning Mastercraftsman mare, Nakuti. Vronti is a half sister to the multiple Graded Stakes winning pair of Heredia and The Big Con (both by Dark Angel).
Night Of Thunder, Champion of 2025, is having another spectacular season and now has sired 16 Group winners this year, more than any other stallion in the world. They are led by G1 winners Ombudsman and Bow Echo, the top two horses trained in Europe, plus Ten Bob Tony, Estrange and Portfolio Duration.
