New winners for Night Of Thunder, Hunter’s Light and Outstrip

Night Colours wins easily at Ffos Las, Linda strikes in Spain and Maitre d’Armes wins at Dax

On a busy Sunday first-season sires Night Of Thunder, Hunter’s Light and Outstrip added new winners to their ever growing tally.

The best first-season sire in the northern hemisphere by W/R% is Night Of Thunder and he improved on his impressive numbers when siring winner number 21 at Ffos Las through Night Colours. Making her second career start, the Simon Crisford-trained filly had little trouble in winning easily by two and a half lengths.

Bred by Grenane House Stud, Night Colours is a daughter of the Green Desert mare Many Colours, who has already bred two winners by Dubawi in Trillionaire and Technicolour.

In Spain, Hunter’s Light’s daughter Linda made a successful racecourse debut, becoming her sires fourth winner from his 12 starters.

Maitre d’Armes made it third time lucky when breaking his duck at Dax in France. The son of Outstrip, who was a €8,000 foal, made it winner number ten for his sire when easily scoring by two and a half lengths.
