New winner for first-season sire Postponed

Rochebrune lands the one-mile Novice Stakes at Kempton Park

First-season sire Postponed added a new winner to his record on Wednesday, 3 November when his daughter Rochebrune triumphed in the one-mile Novice Stakes at Kempton Park.

Trained by George Baker and ridden by Callum Shepherd, Rochebrune built on the promise she had shown on her last start when third at Brighton, battling superbly inside the final furlong to cross the line a length and a half in front.

Bred by Ashbrittle Stud, Rochebrune is a half-sister to French Stakes-placed Singledon, being out of the Singspiel mare Singuliere, herself a half-sister to G1 winner Plumania and full-sister to G2 winner Balladeuse, (dam of Dubawi’s G1 winner Left Hand).

Four-time G1 winner Postponed is also sire of fellow winners My Silent Song and Almohandesah, both of whom won at Pontefract.
