Festive Star wins the Listed Premio Coolmore by five lengths

First-crop sire Golden Horn doubled his Stakes-winning tally on Saturday, 28 September when his daughter Festive Star easily won the Premio Coolmore at Milan. The winner at Yarmouth on her previous start, she had no trouble in winning the 1500m contest by five lengths.

Bred by Sun Kingdom Pty Ltd and a 35,000gns yearling, Festive Star is a daughter of the Listed winner Festoso, who is a half-sister to G1 winner Olden Times.

Derby hero Golden Horn has also sired the G3-winning heroine West End Girl, the hugely impressive Cape Palace, who made a spectacular debut at Newcastle, wide-margin Lingfield winner Golden Lips and Wolverhampton scorer Shandoz.
