New juvenile Stakes winner for Poet’s Voice

Mi Raccomando lands Premio Coolmore, while Dubawi’s Pabouche becomes the latest Black type winner for her sire

It was a successful Sunday for father and son Dubawi and Poet’s Voice (pictured) on 18 September, with both sires adding new Black type winners to their records.

Poet’s Voice’s daughter Mi Raccomando gained a well-deserved first win at Stakes level when leading all the way to take the Listed Premio Coolmore in Milan. She landed the seven-and-a-half-furlong contest by a length and a quarter to record her third career victory.

Bred by Azienda Agricola Razza Del Sole SRL, Mi Raccomando is out of the multiple winner Maschera d’Oro (Mtoto), whose Stakes-winning daughter Mia Diletta is herself the dam of Poet’s Voice’s Italian 2,000 Guineas winner Poeta Diletto.

Earlier in the afternoon, Godolphin’s three-year-old Dubawi filly Pabouche became the 23rd Stakes winner this year for her sire when landing the one-mile Grosser Preis der Metallbau at Hannover.

Racing towards the rear of the field for much of the race, Pabouche began to quicken once entering the home straight and weaving her way past her rivals, absolutely flew home to win by a length and a half from Gold Sands (Cape Cross).

Pabouche was bred by James Wigan and George Strawbridge and is out of G3 winner and G1-placed High Heeled. The dam is herself a half-sister to Faraday Light, whose daughter Just The Judge won the Irish 1,000 Guineas and the G1 E P Taylor Stakes.
