New Group winner for Slickly

Mobaco records his third Stakes victory, landing the G3 Prix Andre Baboin

Three-year-old colt Mobaco, who won on no fewer than five occasions as a juvenile including once at Listed level, has continued to impress this year and added a third Stakes win to his record on 19 October when landing the G3 Prix Andre Baboin at Marseille.

In winning the ten-furlong contest by a head from Exceed And Excel filly La Arenosa, Mobaco was recording his second Black type win of 2012, having won the Listed Coup de Marseille over the same course and distance last month.

Bred by Jean-Claude Seroul, Mobaco is out of the Stakes-placed Anabaa mare Lunaa, whose half-sister Ifni is dam of multiple G1 winner Gentoo.

Also on Friday, Slicky sired the first two home into valuable Critérium de Provence, a race for two-year-olds run over nine furlongs also at Marseille.

Slickly is also sire this year of Meandre, who has won two G1 contests this year taking his total to three; plus Stakes-winning filly Reality.
