Impressive new winner for Profitable

Jersey Rose wins on her second start at Ripon

First season sire Profitable sired a new winner on Thursday, 27 May when his daughter Jersey Rose ran out an easy winner at Ripon. Making her second career start for trainer David O’Meara, she was always well placed and when asked to quicken inside the final two furlongs, sprinted clear to record a three-and-a-half length triumph.

Bred by Francis Killen, Jersey Rose is the second foal of the winning Halling mare Blanche Neige, a full-sister to the G2 Prix Eugene Adam hero Harland and a half-sister to the Classic-placed filly Musis Amica (Dawn Approach). Blanche Neige also has a colt foal by Night Of Thunder and has been covered by Shamardal's Champion son Earthlight this season.

Profitable has made a brilliant start with his first runners and Jersey Rose becomes his fifth individual winner. He was the first freshman to sire a Group performer when his daughter Quick Suzy was second in the G3 Fillies’ Sprint at Naas, and both she and the unbeaten Thunder Love will now likely head to Royal Ascot.
