A day after Estrange and Ten Bob Tony recorded Group victories at Haydock Park, Sunly became Night Of Thunder’s third new G3 scorer on the weekend in the Prix de Royaumont.
Unraced as a juvenile, Sunly came into the race unbeaten in two starts, and she never looked troubled, recording an easy two-and-a-half length victory over the 2400m trip.
Owned and bred by Juddmonte Farms, Sunly is out of the US Graded scorer Suffused, a half-sister to Classic hero Logician.
Night Of Thunder leads all other stallions in GB and IRE by prize money this season. His 13 Stakes winners are headed by the unbeaten 1,000 Guineas heroine Desert Flower, who heads the market in the G1 Oaks at Epsom this coming Friday.
