Sent straight to the front from the stalls, Lola Showgirl never saw another rival when winning the G3 Chartwell Fillies’ Stakes over seven furlongs at Ljngfield Park. The first-crop daughter of Night Of Thunder was recording her fourth career victory, adding to a win at Royal Ascot last season in the Kensington Palace Handicap.
Bred by Noel Finegan, Lola Showgirl is a daughter of the Exceed And Excel mare Exempt, a half-sister to US G1 performer Three Degrees (Singspiel).
Lola Showgirl is one of 19 Stakes winners from Night Of Thunder’s first crop at a very impressive 21% SW/R. Others from this crop include G1 winner Thundering Nights, Classic winner Auyantepui and G2 Dante hero Thunderous.
