Fairy Glen simply magical in Listed River Eden Stakes

Consistent filly becomes the newest Stakes winner for Farhh

Farhh’s four-year-old daughter Fairy Glen gained a very well deserved first Stakes victory on Thursday, 20 November when she ran out the easy winner of the Listed River Eden Stakes at Lingfield.

Simon and Ed Crisford’s charge raced in mid division under Harry Davies early on in the mile-and-five-furlong contest, before making headway as they approached the final two furlongs. Once asked to quicken Fairy Glen responded well to take the lead inside the final furlong and was never seriously challenged, winning by a length and a quarter.

This was Fairy Glen’s third career victory, however she has also been placed at Stakes level on three previous occasions.

Fairy Glen was bred by Godolphin and is out of the winning Dubawi mare Natural Scenery, herself a daughter of G1 French Oaks second Argentina.

Farhh has been a wonderfully reliable source of Stakes performers, with his career percentage of 18% Stakes horses to runners rising to an unrivalled 21% in 2025. He is sire of three G1-winning milers, including new Darley stallion Tribalist. One of his best performers this year is G2 winner Off Trail, who lines up in Sunday’s G1 Mile Championship at Kyoto.

Farhh stands at Dalham Hall Stud at a private fee.
