Exceed And Excel's Outstrip lands G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf

Seventh worldwide G1 winner for his sire

Exceed And Excel's son Outstrip showed a dominant performance November 1 in the G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf, defeating the top turf juveniles from around the world.

In the one-mile race Outstrip patiently settled nearly eight lengths off the pace along the inside. At the top of the lane the colt found running room and put forward a powerful turn of foot to surge to victory.

An impressive winner of the G2 Champagne Stakes at Doncaster in September, Outstrip most recently finished third in the G1 Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket. A homebred for Darley, Outstrip is out of the talented El Prado mare Asi Siempre, a winner of the G1 Spinster Stakes at Keeneland. The mare has both a yearling and a foal by Dubawi.

Exceed And Excel is now the sire of seven G1 Stakes winners around the world, as Outstrip joins such esteemed runners as triple G1 winner and Darley sire Helmet, G1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes winner Excelebration, and four-time G1 winner Guelph, in addition to Overreach, Reward For Effort and Margot Did.
