Electric performance for daughter of Night Of Thunder

Electric Storm wins Listed Lansdown Stakes

Electric Storm, a five-year-old daughter of Night Of Thunder, showed blistering speed on Sunday, 20 April to win the Listed Lansdown Stakes over five furlongs at Bath. Quick from the stalls from her outside draw, she tracked the pace in second before asserting in the final furlong to win by a length.

Lightly raced for her age, she has now won four of her nine starts including a victory in the Listed Cecil Frail Stakes at Haydock last season.

Bred by Rabbah Bloodstock, Electric Storm is a daughter of the Bated Breath mare Ancestral, who is herself a daughter of the G1 1,000 Guineas heroine Wince. Ancestral also has a yearling colt by Night Of Thunder and is back in foal to the same stallion this year.

Night Of Thunder has already sired five Stakes winners this season including Choisya, who won the G1 Jenny Wiley Stakes earlier this month. Electric Storm is one of 10 Stakes winners from Night Of Thunder’s fourth crop at a very impressive 17% SW/R, which is his second-best return for a crop after his first’s amazing 24% SW/R.
