Bow Echo, Night Of Thunder’s brilliant three-year-old, remained unbeaten when wining the G1 St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot. Run over the round mile, he cruised into contention in the straight, and after going clear, he had to dig deep to hold off Gstaad in the dying strides.
A MIGHTY fight!

In the process he confirmed the form with Gstaad from his brilliant 2,000 Guineas triumph and is certainly the star performer of the three-year-old crop. He has now won all five of his career starts, all over a mile, with his juvenile highlight the G2 Royal Lodge at Newmarket.
Owned and bred by the late Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum, Bow Echo has a fascinating pedigree being inbred 3X3 to Dubawi’s dam Zomaradah. A true stallions pedigree, his dam Aristocratic Lady is a half-sister to two Stakes winners including G1 Champion Stakes third Royal Rhyme.
Tuesday at Royal Ascot has certainly been a banner day for Champion sire Night Of Thunder after he sired three of the first four home in the G1 Queen Anne, with Ten Bob Tony just getting the better of More Thunder, with Zeus Olympios back in fourth. Ombudsman will be attempting to get the G1 treble for Night Of Thunder on Wednesday as he lines up bidding for back-to-back victories in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes.
