Bin Battuta

Half-brother to G1 winner Dream Ahead makes perfect debut

Godolphin's Bin Battuta made a big impression when striding clear to win by three and a quarter lengths from his fellow debutant Sakurajima (Helmet) in a six furlong Windsor maiden.

The son of Dubawi is a half-brother to the five-time G1 winner Dream Ahead (Diktat), who scored in the G1 Prix Morny and G1 Middle Park Stakes at two before landing Champion sprinter plaudits at three with a further hat-trick of G1 victories, including the Darley July Cup. The pair are out of the smart mare Land Of Dreams who was herself a speedy juvenile, winning the G2 Flying Childers Stakes and adding the G3 King George Stakes to her haul at three. Bin Battuta is her fifth winner, also including the Listed scorer Into The Dark.
