Moody continued on her impressive upwards trajectory at The Curragh on Saturday 18th July 2026 with a first win at Group level, when galloping away with the mile and a quarter G3 Al Shira'aa Racing Meadow Court Stakes.
The super consistent daughter of Night Of Thunder broke cleanly and quickly made the race her own, carrying the field along at a decent pace under jockey Billy Lee. Paddy Twomey's filly determined that none should pass as she stretched out confidently at the head of affairs, with her jockey stealing the occasional glance over his shoulder to see that no challengers could match her efforts. Rhapsody (Ghaiyyath) was her nearest rival, running with great credit and finishing well in second place.
Moody, bred by Godolphin and trained in France by Andre Fabre for her first two starts, has not finished out of the first two places in all of her five races and this win was the latest in a string of four consecutive victories, the last twice at Listed level. Connections clearly think a great deal of her and she holds a number of lofty entries. She is out of the dual winner Agathonia (Street Cry), herself a Listed winner in Germany.
Night Of Thunder is rapidly stamping himself as a sire of champions as his progeny continue to impress globally, led by 2000 Guineas winner Bow Echo and the world's highest rated horse, Ombudsman. With five G1 winners already in 2026, he stands clear in global stallion rankings.
