King remains unbeaten after Listed Belgravia Stakes in Perth

Impressive son of Earthlight overcomes difficulties on resumption to notch third straight victory

Earthlight's three-year-old son King Of Light produced another exceptional performance when he resumed from a spell on Saturday, 25 October to swamp his rivals in the Listed Belgravia Stakes at Ascot.

After remarkable juvenile victories at Pinjarra over 1,300m and Belmont Park 1,400m last July, King Of Light returned to racing with a spectacular win from eighth on the home turn under Champion jockey William Pike.

Trained by Dan Morton at Ascot, King Of Light was bred by Impressive Racing and offered by Amelia Park Racing and Breeding as agent at the 2024 Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale. He was then purchased by Morton Racing for A$120,000 and has already returned A$200,180.

Out of New Zealand mare Queen’s Parade, who also has a yearling half-sister by Blue Point, King Of Light looks to have a bright future – especially when his race distance increases.

The Champion two-year-old colt of France in 2019, and a dual G1 winner, Earthlight has sired 51 winners of 74 races – including four individual Stakes winners of four Black Type races.
