Intimation lands the Listed Garnet Stakes

Cheveley Park homebred impresses when recording her first Stakes victory

Intimation took command two furlongs from home and was never threatened as she cruised to a four-length victory in the Listed Garnet Stakes at Naas Racecourse October 16. Finishing second was Moyglare Stud’s Rose De Pierre, who completed a Dubawi-sired exacta in the eight-furlong turf contest.

The four-year-old daughter of Dubawi tallied her first Stakes victory in the Garnet, and improved her record to three wins in eight starts.

Intimation races as a homebred for Cheveley Park Stud. She is out of Infallible, a daughter of Pivotal who captured the G3 Nell Gwyn and who was second in both the G1 Coronation Stakes and G1 Falmouth. Intimation is a half-sister Mutakayyef, winner of the G2 Summer Stakes.

Intimation is one of 29 individual Stakes winner this year for her sire, Dubawi, headed by four G1 winners – Postponed, Journey, Left Hand, and Wuheida.

Dubawi also set the sales ring alight at the recent Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1, averaging 972,667 guineas with two of his colts selling for 2.6 million guineas.
