Helmet, who made such a tremendous start to his stallion career in Europe, sired his sixth individual winner on Sunday 19 June when his daughter Lady Of Course impressed at Bro Park in Sweden. Taking on nine rivals on her career debut, she ran on well to win the valuable “Juvenile Future Stars” race run over 1200m.
Bred by Brian Walsh, Lady Of Course is a daughter of the winning Pulpit mare Holly’s Kid, a half-sister to three Stakes winners including G1 Del Mar Oaks heroine Rutherienne. Holly’s Kid has now produced four winners including last season’s juvenile scorer Force (Raven’s Pass).
Helmet, who recently sired his first Stakes winner in Australia, has also sired in Europe the Stakes-placed Boater, impressive debutant scorers Chupalla and Thunder Snow, who ran so well in the G2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot, and the multiple winner Orewa.
