World Champion sprinter Harry Angel welcomes his first foal

‘Very nice, very strong’ filly arrives at Brightwalton Stud

Harry Angel, the record-breaking World Champion sprinter and winner of the G1 Darley July Cup, saw the arrival of his first foal on Wednesday, 22 January when Karijini produced a chesnut filly at Brighwalton Stud.

She was described by Stud Manager Sean Keane as, “a very nice foal, very strong for a maiden mare. 

“Good body, well put together, short coupled, good shoulder, healthy and strong.

“I am very happy with her.”

Karijini, a three-time winner, is from the immediate female family of Stagecraft and Balalaika and further back, Cezanne and Colorspin.

Harry Angel broke his maiden in the G2 Mill Reef at two, before landing the July Cup and the Haydock Sprint Cup (which he won by four lengths) at three.

Harry Angel stands at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of £20,000, Oct 1, SLF.
