Wild Bud latest Stakes winner for Dubawi

Godolphin filly records her first Black Type success in Germany

Wild Bud became the latest Stakes winner for her sire Dubawi when landing the Listed Bayerischer Sprint Cup at Munich on Sunday.

Godolphin's three-year-old filly, trained by Henri-Alex Pantall, had previously won her maiden over an extended six-furlongs at Deauville in August. The three-year-old successfully handled a step up in class and a drop back in trip to triumph in the five-furlong contest in Germany. In the five-furlong contest, the filly made steady progress to stay on well under pressure and triumph by three-quarters of a length.

Wild Bud, bred by Three Chimneys Farm LLC, is out of a Listed-winning daughter of a half-sister to G1 juvenile winner Rumplestiltskin who went on to produce the G1 Yorkshire Oaks heroine Tapestry, and hails from the further family of Kingmambo and the great Miesque.

Dubawi has sired no fewer than seven G1 winners this year, including last weekend's G1 Prix Marcel Boussac heroine Wild Illusion., taking his tally to 32 individual G1 winners.
