Teofilo’s juvenile son Naval Power remained unbeaten on Saturday, 23 July with an easy triumph in the Listed Pat Eddery Stakes. Run over Ascot’s straight seven furlong track, he tracked the early leader before asserting two furlongs from home, running right to the line to record a six-and-three-quarter length victory.
A Godolphin homebred, he the third winner bred by the Dubawi mare Emirates Rewards, who is herself a half-sister to Breeders’ Cup hero Outstrip.
The Teofilo X Dubawi-mare cross has now produced six Stakes winners at an impressive 29% strike rate.
Teofilo has sired ten Stakes winners in 2022 including Australian Guineas winner Character, G3 Silver Cup hero Without A Fight, and four Stakes-winning three-year-olds in Boundless Ocean, Nations Pride, Wexford Native and West Wind Blows.
