Well Disposed an easy G3 winner in Germany

Daughter of Dubawi lands the Mehl Mülhens Trophy at Hamburg; Soft Whisper wins her third Stakes race at Chelmsford

Well Disposed, a three-year-old daughter of Dubawi, gained a valuable Stakes victory on Sunday, 3 July in Germany. Trained by Marcus Klug and ridden by Hollie Doyle, she was victorious in the Mehl Mülhens Trophy, a G3 contest run over 2200m at Hamburg.

The lightly raced filly has now won half of her four career starts, after only making her debut in April this year.

Owned and bred by Gestüt Röttgen, Well Disposed is a daughter of Wellenspiel, who has already produced two G1 Deutsches Derby winners in Windstoss and Weltstar.

Later in the day at Chelmsford, Soft Whisper, a four-year-old daughter of Dubawi, landed her third Stakes race in the Listed Queen Charlotte Stakes at Chelmsford. Making all the running, she was never troubled to record a one-and-a-quarter length victory.

Soft Whisper has now won seven career starts including the Listed UAE 1,000 Guineas and Listed Rosemary Stakes at Newmarket in her three-year-old campaign.

Dubawi has been enjoying a fantastic 2022, leading the world in Stakes winners (29) and Group winners (16) after Well Disposed’s triumph. He was the leading sire at Royal Ascot after siring five winners including gaining his 50th G1 winner with Naval Crown, his 150th Group winner with Eldar Eldarov, and a St James’s Palace triumph with Coroebus.
