Third-time lucky for first crop son of Profitable

Two-year-old Mitbaahy takes a stylish win at Thirsk

Mitbaahy, a first crop son of Profitable, made his third start a winning one when taking a maiden contest at Thirsk on Sunday, 1 August. Dropping back to five furlongs for the first time, the two-year-old colt raced prominently, pulling clear in the final furlong, and easing down towards the post to win by two and three-quarter lengths.

Bred by Nicky Hartery and sold for £50,000 at the Goffs Orby sale, Mitbaahy is a half-brother to G3 winner Going Global out of the winning Invasor mare Wrood. She is a half-sister to G3 Criterion Stakes victor Racer Forever out of the Stakes performing Ras Shaikh. This is the family of G1 Cheveley Park Stakes heroine Tiggy Wiggy.

Mitbaahy is the 13th individual winner for King’s Stand hero Profitable, who has made a fantastic start at stud, with his first crop runners headed by G2 Queen Mary winner Quick Suzy.
