Taany, a five-year-old daughter of Teofilo, added to her improving record on Sunday, 8 June when winning the G3 Premio Del Giubileo. Run over 2000m at Milan, she tracked the early leader before asserting at the top of the straight, eventually holding on by a length at the line.
Taany has now won eight of her 20 starts including the G3 Premio St Leger Italiano by ten lengths last season, and the Listed Premio Paulo Mezzanotte last month in Milan.
Bred by Shadwell Estate Company Ltd, Taany is one of three winners out of the winning Dubawi mare, Aghaany, herself a daughter of Stakes winner, Hathrah.
Teofilo has sired five Stakes winners in 2025 including the Group scorers Nations Pride and First Conquest. He is creating a lasting legacy through his sire sons and his daughters, who have produced eight G1 winners including Classic winners Coroebus, Mac Swiney, Cachet and Ezeliya.
