Third Group win for daughter of Dubawi

Ambition lands the G3 Prix Fille de l’Air at Toulouse to become a PB-equalling 38th Stakes winner of the year for her exceptional sire

Five-year-old daughter of Dubawi, Ambition, added a third Group victory to her record when staying on well in the hands of Mickael Barzalona to land the G3 Prix Fille de l’Air at Toulouse on Thursday, 11 November.

Unraced at two, the filly progressed with each run in her three-year-old campaign, culminating with a G3 triumph in this race two years ago. Ambition kept up her Black Type form going into her four-year-old season with a victory in the G2 Prix Corrida at Lyon-Parilly.

Bred by Ashbrittle Stud and M H Dixon, Ambition is the first foal out of New Approach’s G1 Oaks winner Talent, who was also placed in the G1 St Leger and G1 British Champions Fillies and Mares Stakes.

Dubawi has now sired a world-leading 38 Stakes winners in 2021, tying his career best in 2019. The super sire’s hot autumn includes siring an unprecedented three G1 Breeders’ Cup winners in the same year in new Darley stallion Space Blues, plus Modern Games and Yibir. Dubawi is also sire of this year’s G1 British Champions Sprint Stakes winner Creative Force.
