Sweet sixteen for Sepoy

Impressive win for Dusty Bin at Redcar continues good spell for his first-season sire

Freshman sire Sepoy has enjoyed a very successful season so far with his first European-bred runners and on 24 October he recorded his 16th individual winner when his son Dusty Bin ran out the convincing winner of the five-furlong nursery at Redcar.

Prominent throughout under Kevin Stott, Kevin Ryan’s charge readily moved to the lead with a furlong left to run and running on superbly, won by two and a quarter lengths.

Dusty Bin was bred by Aston House Stud and is out of the Group-placed Singspiel mare Short Affair, whose own dam is a full sister to multiple Group winner and G1 producer Whitewater Affair.

Sepoy is also sire of Stakes-winning fillies Kilmah and Baileys Showgirl, G1 Prix Marcel Boussac third Dabyah and the Stakes-performing duo Unforgettable Filly and Executive Force.
