Sulamani sires his first winner

Dazinksi rallies gamely to land seven-furlong maiden at Yarmouth

First-season sire Sulamani celebrated his first winner from only three runners when Dazinski posted a thoroughly professional performance at Yarmouth to win a maiden on his second racecourse appearance after a promising debut at Newmarket.

Bred by Darley, the chestnut colt is the first foal of the Nashwan mare Shuheb and was a 20,000gns yearling at Tattersalls October Sale. He hails from the family of Sheikh Mohammed's Triple Crown-winning filly Oh So Sharp.

Sulamani, a six-time Group One winner, has just completed his first season at Haras du Logis in Normandy and he continues what has been a scintillating season thus far for those Darley stallions with first-crop runners. Kheleyf has a convincing lead, not just among the freshmen but among all sires of two-year-olds in Europe, with 17 individual winners, while Exceed And Excel is about to be crowned Champion first-season sire in Australia and has sired ten winners in Europe. Refuse To Bend now has five winners after a successful weekend.
