Stakes win for Emily Dickinson on seasonal reappearance

Dubawi’s daughter impresses in Vintage Crop Stakes

Emily Dickinson, a four-year-old daughter of Dubawi, recorded further Black Type success on her return to action on Saturday, 22 April, when landing the 14-furlong Listed Vintage Crop Stakes at Navan in Ireland. Last year Emily Dickinson ended her season with an impressive win in the G3 Loughbrown Stakes at the Curragh.

Trained by Aidan O’Brien, Emily Dickinson travelled strongly in second throughout the race and with two furlongs to run the filly responded when asked for an effort by Ryan Moore, soon pulling clear of long-time leader French Claim to go on and score by five lengths in heavy conditions.

Emily Dickinson was bred by The Chicquita Syndicate. She is the third foal out of G1 Irish Oaks heroine Chicquita (Montjeu), who has also produced Group-placed fillies Nicest and Secret Thoughts.

So far this year, Dubawi has sired 10 individual Group winners, including Lord North (G1 Dubai Turf), In Italian (G1 Jenny Wiley Stakes) and promising G3 Classic trial-winning filly Never Ending Story.
