Stakes treble for Night Of Thunder at ParisLongchamp and Milan

Exciting three-year-olds Overnight and Fortuna Diamond win Listed races in France; Bella Sinfonia lands G3 in Italy

Night Of Thunder sired two new Stakes winners on Sunday 7, June when his lightly raced three-year-olds Overnight and Fortuna Diamond both continued their upward trajectory.

First to secure their victory was his son Overnight who landed the Listed the Prix Ridgeway over 2000m. Making only his third career start, the Wertheimer Et Frere homebred colt wasn’t hard pressed to record a three-length success.

Unraced as a juvenile, he is held in high regard and holds future G1 entries in the Grand Prix de Paris and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.

Later in the card Night Of Thunder’s daughter Fortuna Diamond continued her progression with a battling one-length win in the Listed Prix Volterra.

Again unraced as a juvenile, she has won races at Senonnes and Dieppe this year and is now unbeaten in three career starts.

In Italy at Milan, Bella Sinfonia completed the banner day for Night Of Thunder when easily winning the G3 Premio Del Guibileo. Run over 2000m, she strode clear in the straight to win by five-and-a-half lengths.

Owned by bred by Gestut Fahrhof, Bella Sinfonia has now won four of her seven career starts including a Listed race at Dortmund on her previous start.

Night Of Thunder has now sired 14 Black Type winners in 2026 including three that have struck at G1 level. Ombudsman won his third G1 in the Dubai Turf, Bow Echo became his first 2,000 Guineas winner and Portfolio Duration won her first G1 in the New York Stakes on Friday at Saratoga.
