Son of super sire Dubawi lands the Listed Al Khail Trophy

Siskany strikes in impressive style at Meydan

Dubawi sired a new Stakes winner when his four-year-old son Siskany put up an impressive performance in the Listed Al Khail Trophy at Meydan on Friday, 28 January.

Trained by Charlie Appleby, Siskany settled midfield before running on gamely in the final furlong for jockey James Doyle to easily land his first Black Type contest by five and a half lengths.

Bred by Godolphin, Siskany is out of the unraced Dansili mare Halay, herself a half-sister to dual G2-winners Dartmouth and Manatee.

Dubawi is the sire of an impressive 143 Group winners and concluded 2021 with a world-leading 38 Stakes winners, matching his previous career best in 2019. The super sire’s hot year included becoming the first stallion ever to sire three G1 Breeders’ Cup winners in the same year, led by new Darley stallion Space Blues.

Dubawi stands at Dalham Hall Stud, Newmarket, for £250,000, Oct. 1, Special Live Foal.
