Shade a new winner for Harry Angel

Juvenile colt breaks his maiden with an easy win at Royan

Harry Angel sired a new winner on Sunday, 14 August when his juvenile son Shade, who is owned by Le Haras de Sens/Langlais Blk, broke his maiden over 1600m at Royan-la-Palmyre, France.

The Ludovic Gadbin-trained colt, who was having his second career start, jumped well before being settled mid-field by Damien Bouche. He ran wide for a clear run at the top of the straight and went away to win comfortably by one-and-a half lengths.

Bred by Ecurie Du Graal, Shade is out of the unraced mare, Occagnes (Invincible Spirit).

Harry Angel, himself a Champion sprinter, has sired 9 individual winners, headed by G2-placed Vicious Harry, he is also the sire of Harry Time, an impressive winner on his debut, Bath winner Redemption Time and Felix Natalis, a three-and-a-half length winner at Newbury.
