Seventh heaven for Vazirabad

Impressive son of Manduro lands the G2 Prix Vicomtesse Vigier

Vazirabad took his winning streak to seven on Sunday 29 May when landing the G2 Prix Vicomtesse Vigier, run over just shy of two miles at Saint-Cloud. The impressive son of Manduro who was held up in customary fashion, only had to be nudged to the front inside the final furlong to win ears pricked.
The winner of three Group races in 2015 culminating in a triumph in the G1 Prix Royal Oak, this was his second victory of the year after a thrilling win the G2 Dubai Gold Cup at Meydan back in March.

Owned and bred by HH The Aga Khan, Vazirabad is out of the Group-winning Linamix mare Visorama, also dam of Stakes-winning filly Visorinya. The mare is herself a half-sister to G1 winner Varenar.

Vazirabad is one of six G1 winners sired by Manduro including the G1 wining two-year-olds Ultra and Mandaean, the Classic-winning filly Charity Line and the tough mare Ribbons.
