Second winner for Ultra

Perfect Colour scores easily at Deauville

Ultra doubled his winners total on Tuesday, 3 August when his first-crop daughter Perfect Colour scored easily by two-and-a-half lengths at Deauville. Running in a handicap for the first time, she was always travelling easily in 1100m contest and won with plenty in hand.

Bred by the Rancheria Partnership and a €18,000 yearling purchase by her trainer Stephane Wattel, Perfect Colour is out of the Acclamation mare Rancheria, a three-parts sister multiple US G1 scorer Raging Bull.

Ultra went unbeaten in his juvenile campaign, landing the G1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere at Longchamp before being crowned French Champion two-year-old. Perfect Colour was his second winner after the impressive Bremontier, who won on debut at Dieppe late last month.
