Second straight Stakes win for daughter of Exceed And Excel

Priceless storms to a five-length victory in Listed Lansdown Stakes

Exceed And Excel filly Priceless made a perfect seasonal debut and looks to be a smart sprinter in the making, running out an easy winner of the five-furlong Listed Lansdown Stakes at Bath on 21 April.

The Clive Cox-trained four-year-old tracked the early leaders under Adam Kirby before taking the lead three furlongs out. She then eased clear of her rivals, all of whom were carrying less weight, crossing the line a full five lengths in front.

Priceless won on her racecourse debut at two and finished third in the G3 Firth Of Clyde Stakes on her next start. She rounded off her three-year-old campaign with a win in the Listed Scarborough Stakes at Doncaster.

Bred by Biddestone Stud, Priceless is out of the multiple winner Molly Brown, producer of eight winners including fellow Black type performer Doctor Brown. They are from the family of G1 winner Rebelline.

Exceed And Excel has now sired 14 Black type performers in 2017, including G2-winning duo Mr Stunning and Championship, plus Morawij and Folkswood, both of whom have been placed at G1 level this year.

Exceed And Excel stands at Kildangan Stud at a fee of €50,000 October 1st SLF.
