Second stakes winner of the weekend for Dubawi

Principe Adepto lands the Premio Signorino with Shamardal's Billy Budd second

Dubawi’s good weekend continued when his four-year-old son Principe Adepto won the Listed Premio Signorino by three lengths at Cappanelle on the Italian 2,000 Guineas card. Billy Budd, by Shamardal, was second.

The colt was bred by Allevamente La Nuova Sbarra out of the Listed-winning Giant’s Causeway mare Aischa.

Principe Adepto’s victory in the 1800m event means he becomes the 40th stakes winner for his sire, who yesterday was responsible for Australian Listed winner Tiger Tees and the Group One-placed Secret Admirer, who ran third in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick and is already one of Dubawi’s eight individual Group One winners.

As one of the most successful young stallions in the world, Dubawi boasts a ratio of 13% stakes winners to runners. He stands at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of £75,000, October 1, Special Live Foal.
