Queen Of Desire strikes at Bath

Daughter of Dubawi lands the Listed Lansdown Stakes

Queen Of Desire, an improving daughter of Dubawi, won her first Stakes race on Friday, 19 April in the Listed Lansdown Stakes. Run over five furlongs at Bath, the Roger Varian trained four-year-old scored by half-a-length.

Now the winner of four of her eight starts, she has improved from an initial victory over today’s course and distance, when having a handicap rating of only 68.

Bred by Southacre Bloodstock, Queen Of Desire is a daughter of the Stakes winner Beyond Desire (Invincible Spirit), who also won the Lansdown Stakes seven years previously.

Dubawi has now sired 14 Stakes winners in 2019 including the highly rated Group winners Old Persian, Ghaiyyath, D’Bai and Poetic Charm. Dubawi's 14 Stakes winners is more than any other stallion, with Deep Impact, Tapit and Scat Daddy his nearest pursuers.
